Phillies Avoid Sweep, Blast Padres

Rookie Jayson Werth put in a surprise 5 for 5 performance in the Phillies 14-2 rout of the Padres yesterday. Ryan Howard broke out of his recent slump, going 3 for 4, including a 3-run home run in the second inning.
